Philip Larkin

I had to go into Hull, and used the direct bus - a novelty for me.  It took me into Paragon Station, so I had a look at the statue of Philip Larkin, which is in the forecourt. He was a Poet, and worked as a Librarian at Hull University. (Dates -1922 -85.) As well as the statue and inscription there are quotations set into the ground.

Hull will be the UK's City of Culture in 2017.  It's motto is  'TELL THE WORLD' so here I am doing my bit.
