Not dead after all

The cormorant tree.
Lightning crack against the sky,
Not dead after all. 

Those who have followed me for a while will recognise this tree. A perch for cormorants in the winter, a stark and sculptural shape against the sky.  I used to call it my favourite dead tree .... but it turns out it's not quite dead yet .... who knew?
