We had a really fabulous day in the forest today! Really fabulous. We parked at the visitor centre and set off on the Superworm trail. Its a 2mile trail, but Katie decided multiple times that we should go off and explore other parts of the woods too as we did it, so we walked double that. We found a gruffalo too! We then had our picnic before a play in the huge park. We had a great time in the stream - it was the first time she'd been in that stream. I have such fond memories of Dalby forest so loved taking her. We then drove to the Adderstone and she climbed for ages. We walked through the woods some more, found a gorgeous wooden throne and table and had a big leaf fight. We got back in the car and drove to the Bridestones carpark. We walked up the big hill up to the Bridestones and she climbed a huge one. The view was stunning from the top. After climbing down, we went back down the track and found a sheep field with a public right of way. So we went and sat with the sheep for a while before skipping down the hill. 

She fell asleep on the way home. I thought we would be able to put her to bed as we got home, but she woke as I waited for my friend who was in the Chinese getting us tea! So she enjoyed Chinese with us and we all watched Shrek. An excellent day!!
