Union Canal Edinburgh.

Another day another canal!  Due to maintenance over the bank holiday there were no trains between Cumbria and Edinburgh so we had agreed before the holiday to take Katkatkat and G back home.  As G was due back in work later in the day it was an early start, with of course a break at Annandale Water services.

We detoured by Ikea to pick up some things they wanted and fitted in a food shop before G left for work.  CC and I had a wander up to the Union canal to look for blips.  There is always some thing going on so it is a useful place.

THis shot is looking towards the end of the canal from Harrison park.  The boat on the moorings is what boaters refer to as "a coffee boat" in other words a floating cafe.
