Waste not...

I spent part of the afternoon at Edinburgh Napier University visiting Celtic Renewables who are developing a means of producing BioButanol ( and other useful chemicals) from the waste products of whisky distilleries.

The implications of this for Islay in my constituency are not lost on the team headed up by Professor Martin Tangney who was my host today.

I came away excited about the potential of the project - but without the bottle shown here which is a valuable indication of a possible , positive future.
