Sweet William

From the mountains of southern Europe through the Balkans to the Carpathians. Already in the UK in the 16th century. A lovely biennial that seems to welcome summer in.

A longish day in the garden picking up chalk, seeds in (swede, lettuce, kohl rabi, kale, coriander) and generally sweeping and tidying.

J heads back to Edinburgh tomorrow.
