Emery Down
I passed through Emery Down on Saturday on the way to pick up my Mum. I was trying to capture the little village church bedecked with bunting for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations...but wasn't really aware of that great big telegraph pole in the centre of the picture when I was snapping! What an eyesore! Mind you, in years to come I'm sure people will look back and wonder what on earth that contraption was, eh?
Besides being our Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, today was also the 60th anniversary of the day my parents first met at a dance in 1952.
N.B. Belated back-blip on 5th June! And the trouble with back-blips is that you forget all the important stuff you were going to mention...
