Damoiselle Fly

I saw the first Large Red Damoiselle fy in the garden last week but, it was too fast to catch. This is the first I've seen of the ones that breed in the pond. It was sunning itself on the foliage to warm up after emerging too young to have gained much of it's colour. 

I managed to capture a female Broad Bodied Darter during the walk in the Rhododendron Gardens on Friday. No chance of finding them in the garden.
