Reflection

This is a painting that I finished a while ago, I was never happy with it. It hasn't got a title which is alway a sign that it isn't finished. So for the past 3 months it has been in our living room,on the wall.

I make all my own paint. The red is made with madder, the root of a plant that we used in the middle ages to dye wool, red ochre and red rose petals. The black is burnt vine. The gold is 23 carat gold leaf.( although I can't make that yet)

Over the last 5 or 6 days I have been try to resolve it in my head. Tomorrow I start in paint.

So this is, in fact, a before photo.
