Thunder and lightning

I can't remember a day without rain in these past months. For the past week I've received many flood warnings on my cellphone. Fortunately, I've not seen a real flood, although tonight came pretty close. 
It started with thunder and lightning and soon the rain began. It was bad! Within 10 minutes the ditch around our house looked like a wild water attraction. I'm glad we have that ditch. 
The pictures I took turned out kind of strange.
