Alaskan Malamute or Siberian Husky

I should know this one as I owned an Alaskan Malamute in the early seventies.  The tail of a malamute curls up and around the backside like this one.  I was busy trying to nail down a dragonfly (extra) and earlier I found a pretty almost expired dandelion (extra 2).  I turned sideways at the pond and saw a strolling couple with this dog and he was determined to cool off his belly in the hot weather.  I loved the rippled water effect with the floating pond goop and the big fluffy tail showing the dogs pleasure in the cool water.  In the spring my Dad used to scoop tons of loose furry down from my dog using his hands and digging in.  Could have made a nice warm winter coat!!
