2015 or 1944??

USAAF Station 468 or more simply RAF Rougham - built in 1941 and in use 1942 - 48 ... nowadays it is home to a local flying club and model aircraft flying.
It is a great experience to fly in and land on runways once used by the mighty B17s taking off and returning from missions on Germany ... ok so the concrete runways are long gone and now they are grass, but from the air you can see where they once were.
The control tower is restored and in excellent condition with many interesting displays inside ... coupled with people dressed in period dress and a collection of Willies Jeeps you could easily imagine you were back in 1944 and not 2015 ....
