Verrerie d'Art, Soisy-sur-École

Thursday
Laura and I went into Fontainebleau this morning, for Laura to get her hair cut. After her appointment we treated ourselves to a coffee, sitting outside in the sun - it felt really warm in the sun, but still a bit on the cool side when you were in the shade. Then we went for a walk around the grounds of the chateau, where the gardeners were in the process of planting out the formal gardens. After a quick lunch back home, we drove out to Soisy-sur-École on the other side of Fontainebleau, to the glass-making workshop, as Laura wanted to look for a couple of gifts for friends - she is leaving on Saturday to go back to the States for a friend's wedding, the first time she has been back in almost three years, when she left for her service in the Peace Corps in September 2012. She found a couple of things she liked. Each time I go, I want to buy something for myself, but I have such a hard time choosing, as there is so much that I like, so once more I came away empty-handed, since I can't make up my mind! There is a lovely garden at the glass atelier, and that is where my blip was taken.
Laura fixed dinner for us this evening, a traditional Macedonian dish, then Roger and I went out to home group, where we were talking about the Holy Spirit.
