just a Moment in the wood

Thunk!

Thunk.

There has been much thunk, thinks Teddy.

He's been sat in his corner for many a month. On his own. It makes time for thunk.

Probably should come out now.

It's just that Life sometimes lurks round dark corners, and thumps life out of a creative spirit that crosses the threshold, and mugs it of pixie dust. Costly stuff, that pixie dust. Not your common-a-garden, aimless happiness . Such experiences can make the ordinary hard to bear. And the eyes water!

Like, when you've been all day with little and big people,  you've been up too early, you're home too late but you know that there is a nice spicy pesto awaiting a simple quick pasta and cuppa. Then a look in the cupboard reminds you that when you abandoned you trolley mid aisle in the supermarket yesterday, cause you simply couldn't face any more of the place, that your pesto remains somewhere between toilet rolls and the dog food aisle.

No. Teddy knows it's time to try again.
Maybe tomorrow.
Trying to be brave teddy.
