Country Life
We joined the crowds at Sherborne Castle Country Fair. A traditional country show, it was held in the extensive grounds of Sherborne Castle. There was so much to see. Normous enjoyed the vintage cars and he chatted to a young policeman about rural crime and to a soldier about what he did during his National Service. J, George and Normous had a go on a Segway, a peculiar two wheel gadget that you stand on, but it can't be used on UK roads or pavements so there's not much point! I got some great pics of them, but they are not for publication! I enjoyed the craft tent, and the sheep demonstration was fun - we've seen it before but it is always entertaining. We inspected the rare breeds and watched the heavy horses.
It was a really good show and there was so much to see. We were shattered after all this! Normous and I came back to our lovely holiday home, but the others decided to go down to the sea, about forty minutes away. They know that area well and found their favourite fish and chip shop.
We've all caught the sun today, summer has come at last!
