Monkey Girl
2years 226days
We managed to fit a lot in to the day today, or so it felt. We had a morning at the play cafe near the girls' house. It was a great size for the girls, they could do everything. They loved the bouncy castles. Although not as much as they loved bouncy chairs that they all three sat in together, in a row. The slides were good and they chased round and round them quite a lot of times!
After food and sleeps, we headed to a museum, the Horniman. It was brilliant. We started out in a Hands On room - loads of boxes of different artifacts, costumes, activities. Lots of dressing up, games, musical items. So here is Katie as a Monkey, whilst playing on the chinese xylophone. As you do!
We then went down to their aquarium. Katies lasting favourite from there is the jelly fish. And the "pink one jelly fish" - an anemone. She also liked the butterflies and the starfish. The last room we visited was the music room. There were loads of different instruments for the children to try - various drums, xylophones, chimes, croaky wooden frogs. And one instrument made from pipes that you hit with flipflops.
