Mono Monday 69 Towel day THGttG

Today's theme for Mono Monday is The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy, the last in a month of Sci Fi themes hosted this month by Dollykgray
This radio series/tv series/book has been much loved in our family.

Here I am able to show a little seen before image of Arthur Dent, taken from the Vogon demolition ship, seconds before the Earth was destroyed to make way for an intergalactic highway. Arthur was saved when he and his friend Ford Prefect were whisked aboard a Dentrassi spaceship: they will always let hitchhikers aboard, partly for the company but mostly because it annoys the Vogons, which is how Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect escaped the destruction of planet Earth.
 
There are many cult phrases that have come from this series: one alluded to here is
Knowing where one's towel is - somebody who can stay in control of virtually any situation is somebody who is said to know where his or her towel is.....
The tea mug is significant because Arthur is regarded elsewhere in the galaxy as a hapless tea drinking earthling.... 

I could go on but it's perhaps just a teeny bit embarrassing that I know so much  about this particular sci fi series!!
