Poppies

Another blip of my beloved poppies, they are so bright in the dark shadow of the front garden hedge and they just go on flowering continually.  An eyecatcher from the kitchen window!

This evening I went with our neighbours down to the local church to a concert by The Wandering Winds: Katy Ashman and Miles Nipper playing mostly classical and more contempory music with their bassoon and contrabassoons.  It really was quite unusual to hear these instruments playing solos with the accompaniment of piano,  harpischord or flute.  My favourite was Piazzolla's Libertango, being a great fan of the tango!
