Loch Skene

Back to cold again today. Drove south to take the Mountain Guide to Penrith for the start of a coast to coast trip. We stopped at Grey Mares Tail in the Borders on the way. it was a mere 9degrees when we set off up the hill and as we got to Loch Skene we faced a wicked wind! Still, it was beautiful up there. We didn't have time to go up round the tops but said we would go back another day for the full route. It would also be a great place for some wild camping, if you dodge the National Trust tourists.
