Success At Last

We have been going to nursery sports days since 2006.

Never once has a child of ours completed a race. They have instead favoured the "burst into tears at the start of the race, drop to the floor, throw a complete hissy fit and get carried over the line" approach. This tactic extends to nativity plays - I've been in two. Imagine a 38 week pregnant angel. Indeed.

Anyway, this year Sports Day was brought forward to be a joint Olympic/Jubilee event. Child#4 did the whole thing without crying, I'm not sure if he won but I don't care - it was painless and there was cake!
