Sunrise over the Pinnacles

 and now, for something completely different.......
After arriving back at the motel at 10.45pm, we were back in the desert at 6am for the dawn and sunrise (its a 20minute drive).  The sunrise itself was less than exciting but the light was soft and lovely. This image give a broader impression of the Pinnacles Desert, looking towards the Indian Ocean which you can see on the horizon.

My two extras are an example of a teeny formation, beautifully eroded, and an image taken quite a while before the sun rose.

I am still a day behind as I crawled into bed at 8.30 last night and crashed!!  (I missed Poldark and At the Top of the Lake )
