Inside the Rathaus

A lot of traditional Swiss buildings have intricate designs painted onto them - particularly restaurants! This is the inside of Basel's red government building and the whole inside courtyard is brightly coloured with lots of historical figures on the walls.

I was treated to a busking quartet of classical tenors as I wandered around in here. Lovely.
