One for the geologists

This was a stunning example of conglomerate rock that we found on our walk from Pomieri to Isnello.  Another very long day and we struggled towards the end when we had to make a steep descent down a hillside without clear paths.  We arrived in a small field with two sheep and the owner rescued us (and the sheep who seemed to regard us as potential wolves). 

Having managed to lose our walking poles yesterday (kindly collected up by the English couple walking one day behind us) I found one in the vegetation on the hill side.  Alessia is lending us another for tomorrow as we won't be able to retrieve our own until the day after.
