Almost ready

For what must be almost the first time ever, I was 99% ready when our first guests arrived - but as they were five minutes early (something that's unheard of in Brazil), I still hadn't found any shoes to wear by the time they rang the bell.

The other guests were remarkably punctual too, but it was a good evening. The food seemed to go down very well and as it was all my own work, I was well satisfied. Cooking's not my favourite occupation, and I'm terribly slow, but once in a while it's fun to prepare some special dishes for good friends.
