Wild Garlic

This avenue flanked by wild garlic, (Allium ursinum) leads to the Cathedral of the Isles on Great Cumbrae.

The bulbs of this plant are a favourite food of bears and wild boar, apparently they dig up the ground to get at them.

No bears or wild boar were endangered in the making of this picture!
