Tomorrow
When she was more or less house bound my mother bought a camelia called "Tomorrow" and put it in an big pot in the garden. She had bought the pot when her father died many years before.
When she died I brought the camelia to our shared garden in Edinburgh. It wasn't happy in the pot. It is still struggling with being 400 miles further North and I didn't think it had flowered this year but when I was weeding today I found two blooms on the ground.
I wonder how long I'll keep this thing alive and if my children will be picking blooms from the ground and thinking of me - maybe not for a wee while I hope!
