It's a hummer!

A hummingbird perched on the topmost branch of our neighbor's apple tree. Hummers, tiny as they are, like to sit in high places and watch the world go by below. This little one's chosen spot overlooks our back yard and the "bird buffet." She couldn't have chosen a better location.

We enjoyed a beautiful day with temperatures in the 70s, breaking a week-long spell of chilly, mostly cloudy days. I celebrated by putting Thompson Waterseal on our backyard swing. Now we are almost set for summer!
