The thing about Flora is......

The thing about Flora is that but for a moment in time she would not be here and that, that very near miss, means celebrating her birth with all we can to give her all we can means everything to me.

She had a five hour party that took all day to prepare and 17,000 shopping expeditions, but she loved every moment bar the one where her shoe came off on the slide in the sports day bean bag obstacle race.....

I shared her with lots of people today, seeing her fleetingly really as we served a huge party with bounteous drinks and general jollifications. Tomorrow we go to Staithes and time just for us.
