Turner, the Cathedral, and 400 massed voices
What a day! It turns out there's an international festival on in Salisbury. We spent much of the day in the Cathedral (Sue climbed the steps to the spire!) and then we saw the drawings and watercolors Turner made when he was here, met a Welshman who told us wonderful tales of the energies trapped in stones, attended Evensong and sat in the choir right behind the male choir in seats installed in 1220...and met Sarum Stroller of great blip fame at a public performance of market songs. We hoped to reconnect with him on Saturday but had some mishaps...more to be soon revealed.
