Wild Geranium

I just noticed today that these were blooming when I went out to start weeding the back yard. Love the color! According to wiki, back in the day the Mesquakie Indians used the wild geranium plants as an astringent, which caused contraction of the tissues & helped to stop bleeding, & they also brewed a root tea for toothaches & for painful nerves. I'll have to keep that in mind--never know when you might need a good "relief for painful nerves" tea!!  :))
