Lettuce thief?

I made a cage for my lettuce seedlings today. Something has been stealing them while I have been away, so I re-seeded and made sure they were protected from hungry predators. My guess is that it's either the blackbird or the pigeon. I've left them bird seed to compensate them for their loss of lettuce.
