Chalk
Last day of our holiday today, so we left our cottage and headed to Flamborough.
Our first visit was to North Landing where we were soon descended on by two school groups - one doing a geology field trip and the others just there to mess about in the sea.
We then moved onto the lighthouse for lunch and walked down the steep steps onto the beach.
We then finally drove to South Landing and visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve and again walked down to the beach. We had fun here taking pictures of rocks, most of which were white chalk.
Then finally it was time to drive home, taking in dinner on the way.
Quote of the day, taken from a sign at South Landing: "Please adjust your walking style to the character of the path."
