Atmosphere

The atmosphere around London today has been incredible!
We wandered to Hyde Park earlier, but there really wasn't much going on so we headed down to Constitution Hill and the Mall. At 1pm people had their seats ready at the front; we didn't quite want to sit there all afternoon so we went for a stroll, had a waffle, went to Trafalgar Square, had some Pimms (obviously; you have to really) and then walked back down the Mall at 5ish. We had SUCH a good spot; we were as far down as we could be after they filled the priority spot, and right next to a screen. It was just amazing. I kept standing up to look around; I've never been in a crowd that big before! They seem to be saying there was 250,000 or more people there, which seems insane, but it was such an incredible atmosphere and so wonderfully patriotic. I loved being right there in the middle of things and surrounded by Union Jacks! We literally saw every item of clothing, headwear and accessories imaginable in Union Jack theme; I was wearing red white and blue but I felt a tad understated in comparison! A night to remember, definitely.
