Bottlebrush...callistemon

This is just starting to burst open, you can see the different stages in the flowering process. The colour is bright and I like these better when you are close up and can see the detail.

Cold night, beautiful sunny day...I spent the morning moving compost from one bin to another and into the garden to make room for the leaves.... house work and a visit to the family for afternoon tea and for the grandchildren to climb all over us...I spent about half an hour capturing the kids in Batmans cave....they love silly games.
