Chocolate Making Extravaganza
Today I went on a course to learn how to do wonderful things with chocolate. In the morning the 4 of us learnt how to make truffles (pictured). We made 3 batches: milk, dark and white - all with different flavourings and coatings. I couldn't believe how easy it was, or how professional they looked and how good they tasted!
In the afternoon we learnt how to temper chocolate, and then used moulds to make chocolate ducks, piping bags to make medallions and textured and patterned sheets to make thin bars of chocolate.
In the evening we, well, ate lots of chocolate!
