Hell's Gate!

Today we embarked on our Rocky Mountaineer train journey from Vancouver to Kamloops alongside the Fraser River.
This is what's called Hell's Gate! Named by Simon Fraser explorer for the North West Trading Company setting up a trading post in the area for the Fur Trade in 1808. Where 200 million gallons of water thunder through a 33 metre wide passage, and he wrote " We had to travel where no human being should venture for surely we have encountered the Gates of Hell "
