hidden hope...

...despite the rain

lookit what i found - deeply hidden amidst - some bushes while there - was finally a break in - the rain we've been having - a lone iris stalk - with a fresh bud forming - i thought for sure - the time for them - to be blooming was done - and over by now - or had most likely been - washed out due to all - the severe weather, cold temps which have - been occurring lately - things have been rather - crazy all around for plants - but here was this - beautiful deep blue stalk - or perhaps it will be purple - once fully open - and all i could think was - how it represented hope - in the midst of gray skies - a beacon of an outstretched lifeline - so to speak - because so many find days - without sunshine as dreary and depressing - need to see something to provide - them with that extra bit of 'oomph' - to keep 'em going - this is just the antidote to - do it, i think as well - as to make for...
