One species each day (from my backyard)

I was looking for a plant species for tonight when I saw this Caedicia simplex in one of our fennel plants. Looking at the length of its wings, it must be in its last instar before becoming an adult. I'm not sure if it will make it before winter. It's right-hand ear (or should I say right-leg ear?) is clearly visible in this picture.
