tiddly pom pom pom

I had an idea to decorate my cream garden umbrella, so having priced up all sorts of braids , tassels etc and finding it was going to cost about £50 , I took myself off in search of something cheaper. In a hobby store I found these pom poms at 50 per bag and tape for 69p per metre, total spend under £10 !
Except when I got home and started sewing said pom pons on to the tape I remembered how impatient I am to get these things done AND I found the colours all too bright ( they look better like this i.e. un saturated ).
So back to square one as they say !
