Auntie

The assignment today for #synchroneyes was the word Value.  I began thinking about what in my life had the most value.  Yes, there are "things," though not many.  It is more about the "values" that I hold dear and as I was driving to meet Auntie for lunch I thought family was probably the thing I valued most and then with that followed love, peacefulness and acceptance.  Auntie Margie was always a whirlwind of energy and more than a few summers she was like a second mother to me.  She is my oldest living relative and the sister that my mother was closest to.  She has accepted her limitations as she approaches her 93rd birthday, but clings to her independence and she is leaving for a month long trip to help care for her eldest daughter after a hip replacement.
