Ardnamurchan Lighthouse
This lighthouse is situated at the western most point of mainland Britain. It was designed in 1846 by Alan Stevenson and is built of pink ashlar granite, and was completed in 1849. As we got close to the site the weather really closed in and this was the best view, in conditions like this you can see why seafarers need Lighthouses. The Light is now fully automated but was manned until 1986.
