Disappointing

I mentioned in a previous blip that I thought that maybe I had messed up my rhododendrons by pulling off the old buds last year. Well, I was encouraged over the last couple of weeks because many of them looked like they had buds on them. Unfortunately, I have discovered that what I thought might be buds were just new leaves forming. So it looks like this bloom is one of only three I will have out of my many bushes in the back garden.
