Run4Bobby

Harry's best friend, Bobby, died last year, two weeks after being diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumour. He was being treated at The John Radcliffe in Oxford. Bobby was just 5 years old. Like Harry, he was the son of a HM at College.

There are no words to describe the sadness that descended on the community.

One year on, Bobby's mum has organised a charity bike ride, raising in excess of £37, 000 for the JR and for research into brain tumours in children.

Harry's class wanted to add to the total and so each of the children did a mini fund raising in memory of their friend. Running for Bobby. Today they did their 1 km run. Many in fancy dress. Although H declined this option. ( I think he thinks it is not appropriate, but we had a limited chat about it.) Here he is at the finish line, with his medal. And slightly reflective.

Bottom line. He misses his friend.
