happiness multiplied

Our miracle baby.
The girl, who was told by a specialist last year that her chances of conceiving naturally were slim to zero, found herself amazingly, happily, wonderfully pregnant. 
There was a glitch or two, more tests, a tense period of waiting, and then today we got the results  - a normal healthy baby boy !

He is due in the autumn, less than a month after his cousin (see yesterday's blip). 
I, and her Dad, are beyond happy, we are utterly delighted and cannot wait to meet him and hold him. We already love him so much. 

Ever since my first grandchild was born, 15 years ago, it has seemed to me that grandchildren are the whole point of life.  The strength of my bond with him took me completely by surprise. And again with my younger grandson who is four.
Then it looked for a long while as though there was no possibility of any more at all and now there are going to be two within a month of each other!
I am a very happy Nanny !
