Wood carving
This is the detail at the end of a seat made from a large log. A new walk, named the Asparagus Trail has been signposted around our local conifer woodland, at various points along the way are life size wood carvings, some incorporating seats. The one illustrated here is about 2-3 metres long and is in a beautiful sheltered area. The whole of the area was once used to grow asparagus, so the trail gives visitors an insight into the agricultural history of the land. This coastal area is managed by The National Trust, English Nature, and the local Authority.
