IMPACT's #TastyTeam Celebrates #VEDay 70 years on

IMPACT’s Tasty Team made the press this week after joining local residents, pupils and community organisations on the 8th May 2015 to celebrate 70 years after VE Day. There was a packed agenda with a cookery demonstration by IMPACT of a war time recipe, a talk on rationing and a delicious WW2 inspired lunch.

The Bentswood Community Partnership who organised this event and of which IMPACT is a member, exists to make Bentswoood, the local area in which IMPACT’s office is based, better – to promote a thriving community, supported by a strong partnership of various agencies and local groups to support the needs and aspirations of the local people of Bentswood. It brings together all the Councils – Town, District and County with community partners including housing association Affinity Sutton, Sussex Police, Warden Park Primary Academy, the local Church and residents.

IMPACT’s UK programme the Tasty Team joined this partnership to work together with others to deliver our healthy eating programme, increase awareness of what we do amongst the local community and other organisations working in the area and improve the well-being of those living in our community.
