Tides Out
Enjoyed a little wander at the estuary today. We saw other walkers and dogs, 5 spoonbills, plenty of gulls, mallards, 2 pied stilts but no herons or kingfishers, it was really warm with a pleasant nor'west breeze.
The curve of the posts define the vehicle track used during whitebaiting season, starting mid-August, while walkers to the beach head straight for the sand dunes to view the sea. There are plenty of pine trees in this area, I quite liked how this one frames the shot.
After a chat and lunch together, daughter 'flying' and I tried a new supermarket for our grocery shop. Things were in a different place which is good for our minds and keeping us on our toes, and there was more variety, I quite enjoyed the change.
Another lovely day spent with my daughter 'flying'.
