A pond?

Goodness, what are they doing to our garden?  This photo was taken from almost the same position as this one.  The end result of all the digging should be a wildlife pond, bog area, meadow area, and (a recently added idea) - a woodland area!

They've stripped the turf from most of the far end, dug large holes to extract the subsoil (meadows and ponds need very poor soil) then buried the turf in the hole when they refilled.  

The plan is that none of the stuff dug out will need to be removed from site - we are happy for the meadow area to be a slight hillock.

By next month the garden will be much different, and by next year it will be transformed.
