Newington Sunrise
Rudely awoken by the sun shining through our bedroom window (in spite of curtains). Well, at least it was a photo opportunity.
Other than that, I made it to the current photo exhibition at the Stills Gallery: Anna Atkins: Cyanotypes & Margaret Watkins: Advertising Photography. Both sets are most excellent. Anna Atkins was an early photography pioneer who used cyanotypes to produce a book of British algae in the mid-19th century. Margaret Watkins took advertising photos in the 1920ies and documented the mundane. I was particularly interested in her photos of Glasgow in the 30ies. Highly recommended and well worth visiting.
