Transport day 3- Mickey the Micra

Today I drove to work in my duck egg Micra. It wasn't that long ago that the thought of driving gave me panic attacks.  I used to love driving when I was younger, but two car accidents and moving to a country that drives on the left left me daunted.  On top of that I had to learn to drive a manual car.  For a while we didn't have a car, when my husband started to think about getting a car again, I began to panic at the idea of driving a manual.  Four years ago a relative told us about a friend who was selling this duck egg Micra.  it took time for me to get used to driving again and using the car regularly, but now I don't worry anymore about getting into the car.  I actually enjoy driving again which I would not have thought possible even a year ago. Mickey the Micra has been therapeutic for me and that makes her a special car and the inspiration for this weeks transport theme!
